World Youth Days and Gathering of the Vincentian Youth – Panama 2019

In January 2019, Panama will host the next World Youth Days and, as usual, the previous days for the young of the Vincentian Family, the “Gathering of the Vincentian Youth”, which are aimed at preparing our young people to live, from the charisma, this celebration of the Catholic youth from all parts of the world.

The Vincentian Family is working on the organization of the Vincentian Youth Gathering, which will take place in the Rev. Lowell David camp, from 18th to 21st January 2019. This place is located in the province of Western Panama, in the District of San Carlos, located two hours from the Panamanian capital.

For information and ways of accreditation of the Vincentian groups a Facebook page has been created, EJV2019, in which it is possible to contact the organizing group and know the formalities to participate in these Vincentian days prior to the World Youth Days Panama 2019.

The attendance cost is $302, which breaks down as follows:

  • Contribution to the Vincentian Youth Meeting: $60
  • World Youth Day (WYD) solidarity fund: $12
  • WYD 2019 package: $230

The organizing committee is also calling on young people to take part in the festival included in the youth meeting. They are invited to give a demonstration of folk dancing or any other artistic expression representing their country’s culture (performance to last 5 minutes maximum; 5-10 participants). The motto of the WYD Panama 2019 is “Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to Thy word” (Lk 1,38) and their patron saints: St. John Bosco, the Blessed Romero Meneses, the blessed Oscar Romero, St. John Paul II, St. Joselito, St. Juan Diego, St. Rosa de Lima and St. Martín de Porres.”
