Visit of the SSVP of Romania to Pope Leo XIV
On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the inauguration of the pediatric emergency ambulance service, Pope Leo XIV received the representatives of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Oradea (Romania), promoters of this commendable social initiative.
During the conversation, the delegation had the opportunity to present to the Holy Father the functioning and organization of the medical transfers of children, some of whom require treatment abroad, as well as various details of this free pediatric rescue service, based on volunteer work.

The group also mentioned that, in some cases, Italian medical institutions had participated in the care and treatment of the children in a spirit of solidarity.
The delegation offered several symbolic gifts to the Pope: a plaque bearing the image of Saint Vincent de Paul, a Vincentian cross, and the president of the SSVP, Kis Balász, who is also the international representative of youth for Europe 2, presented him with a T-shirt from the Vincentian pediatric rescue service, which the Holy Father signed.
The Pope expressed his gratitude for the service provided to the children and greeted those present with a handshake.
