The meeting will discuss important issues for the future of SSVP
On Saturday, December 3rd, the Board of Council General International will meet virtually. This will be its fifth gathering of the year.
The spiritual reading, prepared by Father Andrés Motto, CM, will have as its theme: “Prayer and formation, at the service of the evangelization of the poor”.
The agenda of the meeting is full of important topics, among them the calendar for 2023, with an emphasis on the General Assembly, the Lusophone Summit and the World Youth Days (Portugal).
The President General will talk about the most recent activities and institutional trips, highlighting the Vincentian Family meeting and the audience with Pope Francis. Then the Treasurer General and the Secretary General will also present their reports and technical information. The other Vice-Presidents will discuss the projects underway and the prospects for 2023 (International Year of Jules Gossin).
According to the Statutes of our Confederation (article 3.16.1), the Board must hold a minimum of three meetings a year. The next Board meeting will take place on February 25, 2023, in Paris (face to face). The following day, February 26, there will be a visit to the grave of co-founder Auguste Le Taillandier, in Rouen, France.
