The Slovak Society on Pilgrimage to Paris
Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Slovakia took part in a pilgrimage to Paris from April 9–12, 2026, following in the footsteps of the Vincentian tradition.
During their stay, they visited several important sites connected to Vincentian spirituality, including the Archive of the Congregation of the Mission, the Chapel of St. Vincent, the Archive of the Daughters of Charity, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and many others.

A significant highlight of the pilgrimage was a visit to the headquarters of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, where the group received a warm welcome and gained deeper insight into the life and legacy of Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, as well as the history and present-day mission of the Society. The visit included a shared time of fellowship, including a lunch together, which created space for informal conversation, mutual encouragement, and strengthening of bonds within the Vincentian family.

A particularly moving moment was the visit to the crypt where Frédéric Ozanam is buried, offering an opportunity for personal reflection and prayer at the resting place of the Society’s founder. The pilgrimage was a meaningful spiritual experience, strengthening participants in their faith, deepening their connection to the roots of their service, and renewing their commitment to serving those in need.
