The SSVP Takes Part in the Vincentian Family’s Day of Prayer

On July 12, 2020, fellow member Renato Lima de Oliveira, 16th President General, took part, on behalf of the SSVP, in the VINCENTIAN FAMILY’s DAY OF PRAYER FOR A WORLD IN NEED.
Organized by the Vincentian Family’s international branch, located in Philadelphia (USA), the event was broadcast live by Ozanam TV, with the participation of Gen Verde, the Italian international performing arts group.
The opening prayer was led by Father Tomaz Mavric, Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission and president of the Vincentian Family’s Executive Committee. Then, the main leaders of the Vincentian Family took the floor and gave prayers, testimonials and reflections about Covid-19 and the Vincentian actions undertaken to face this terrible pandemic.

In his speech, our President Renato urged Vincentians throughout the world to seek the intercession of Blessed Antoine-Frédéric Ozanam in these murky times of pandemic.
“Let us rebuild this world so badly in need of God and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. There are myriad other pandemics and social evils to overcome, such as abortion, corruption, injustice, lack of education, intolerance and unemployment,” stated our fellow member Renato.
