Camas Project distributes mattresses to over 60 families

The SSVP Honduras is battling the natural disasters that have hit the country in recent months. Hurricanes Eta and Iota have adversely affected the population, leaving many without the basics.

Camas Project is one of the initiatives undertaken by the Honduran SSVP to help the victims of the natural disasters, which is aimed at distributing mattresses among families that do not even have a bed and a mattress to sleep on.

Mattresses have been distributed to a total of 60 families in two locations, San Pedro Sula and Puerto Cortés, with a budget of around 5,000 US dollars. These funds come from the General Council International, via the Commission for International Aid and Development (CIAD), the SSVP Spain’s National Council and Honduras’ National Council itself.
