The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of the United States on the Forbes List

World News

For the first time in its history, the Society of Vincent de Paul of the United States has been included in the Forbes’ list of the 100 largest charities in the country, ranking 75th.

The Society, which currently serves more than 4 million people a year in the country, has received high marks for its charitable commitment and efficiency in relation to its fundraising work.

U.S. National President John Berry commented “This recognition is important not only because of our size, but because it recognizes the great work we are doing serving people in need. It is a reflection of the hundreds of thousands of hours of service dedicated by our Vincentians across the country. A recognition that allows us to celebrate the generosity and support of our donors and supporters who provide us with the resources we need to serve.”

The Forbes list of charities results from a review of each charity’s most recent fiscal year. A ranking based solely on private contributions received.
