SSVP strengthens its position in the Forbes 2025 ranking
For the third consecutive year, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the United States has been included in Forbes’ list of the 100 largest charitable organizations in the country. In the 2025 edition of America’s Top 100 Charities, the organization has strengthened its position at number 45, after ranking 59th in 2024 and 75th in 2023, reflecting steady growth over recent years.
During the most recent fiscal year, SSVP in the United States reached a historic total of $447 million in private contributions, enabling it to sustain and expand its assistance to millions of people experiencing vulnerability across the country.
As in previous editions, the Society received high ratings for its charitable commitment, as well as for its efficiency and transparency in the management of donated funds. National President John Berry stated that this recognition reflects “the support and dedication of every donor, volunteer, and neighbor we serve,” and praised the generosity of more than 81,000 Vincentian volunteers working in communities nationwide.
The Forbes list of charitable organizations reflects each entity’s most recent fiscal year and is based exclusively on private contributions received.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul extends its congratulations to all volunteers and members on this new recognition and expresses its sincere gratitude to donors and benefactors whose trust and support make it possible to sustain this charitable mission.
