SSVP holds training event in Cape Verde
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in Cape Verde organised a training and capacity-building event on the 11th and 12th of January 2025 at the Amor de Deus School in Terra Branca. This initiative was funded by the International Commission for Aid and Development (CIAD) with the support of the International General Council.
During the event, key topics for the development of Vincentian conferences were addressed, including spirituality, conference management, leadership training, planning charitable activities, and best practices in financial management. The trainers, including Joaquim Semedo and Sofia Vieira, delivered sessions that combined theory with dynamic practical exercises, also featuring the celebration of a Eucharist.
This event represents a milestone in the growth and development of the SSVP in Cape Verde, with the expectation of significantly increasing its social impact and reaching more people in vulnerable situations. The SSVP extends its heartfelt thanks to all participants and collaborators for their commitment and dedication.
