Chaired by the PGI and with the participation of fellow Vincentians, it was supported and attended by representatives of the Catholic Church, the VPTI Asia 2, Maurice Yeung, and the president of the Central Council of Hong Kong, Ellis Suen.

Celebration of the feast of St. Vincent de Paul with Hong Kong members

On September 27th, following a visit to two of the social works carried out by the Hong Kong Conferences, i.e.: the St. Vincent de Paul Nursery School for needy children and the Ozanam Comprehensive Services Centre, a multi-purpose medical and social care center, the Eucharist was celebrated in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Hong Kong. The moving ceremony, attended by hundreds of fellow members, was presided by Cardinal John Tong Hon and the auxiliary bishop of the diocese, Joseph Ha, accompanied by 13 other Catholic priests.

This was followed by the Annual Assembly, presided by the auxiliary bishop. The President General, in his closing speech, thanked all the attendees for their warm welcome and emphasized the importance of the union of all the Asian Conferences present at this meeting so that, together, we can twin and be a single Conference of friends that cover the whole world.
