President General to visit India, Nepal and Singapore

The visits will take place between January 9 and 19, 2023
Continuing the missionary trips to motivate members of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul around the world, the 16th President General International, brother Renato Lima de Oliveira, will undertake institutional visits to India, Nepal and Singapore from January 9 to 19.
In India, the visit will take place in two cities: New Delhi and Kolkata. In Nepal, all events will be held in Kathmandu. The last leg of the trip will be a visit to Singapore City, the capital of Singapore. In all these countries the agenda is quite similar: meeting with the National Council, gatherings with SSVP members, visiting Vincentian special works, audiences with representatives of the clergy and the Vincentian Family, contacts with the Catholic media, among other appointments.
This will be brother Renato’s second visit to India. In 2017, he visited the southern region (Goa, Chennai and Cochin). It will be President Lima de Oliveira’s first foray in Singapore and Nepal. The President General will be accompanied, depending on the country visited, by brothers Joseph Pandian (Vice-president General), Johnson Varghese (Vice-president International Territorial), Gabriel Mondel (Territorial Delegate for Special Projects) and Thomas Tan (Vice-president International Territorial).
The General Council is grateful to the National Councils of India, Nepal and Singapore for the planning of the agendas and logistics of the visits as well as generously paying some of the expenses such as food, accommodation and local transportation. We ask for your prayers for the success of these missionary trips, and may the Good Lord protect all those involved in this journey.
