President General makes his third visit to Panama
Brother Renato will give a lecture on the seven founders of the SSVP
On August 30th, on his way to the United States, the 16th President General International, brother Renato Lima de Oliveira, will be again in Panama, where he will participate in a “Special Afternoon for Vincentian Formation” in Santa Maria Parish, Balboa, Panama City.
The next day, the President will go to Baltimore (USA) to attend the United States SSVP Assembly.
The Panamanian National President, sister Mixila Martínez, is finalizing the preparations to receive President Lima de Oliveira. Currently, the SSVP in Panama has 12 Conferences. Even though it is a working and school day, dozens of brothers and sisters from all parts of the country have already confirmed their participation in the event.
The agenda of this “Special Afternoon” includes a presentation of the “The 7 Founders”, a question & answer session with the President General, an adoration (spiritual hour) and the Holy Mass, which will be celebrated by Father Gregory Gay, local parish priest and Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission between 2004 and 2016. This will be the third time that the President General visits Panama. The two previous visits (2017 and 2019) were motivated by events and preparatory meetings on World Youth Day with the Pope.
