Philippe Favrot, New National President of the SSVP in France
Elected at the National Assembly held on 20 June, Philippe Favrot succeeds Serge Castillon. His initial term of office will be for two years.
A member of the Dijon Conferences for the past ten years, Philippe most recently served as National Vice President. He graduated from the French National School of Insurance.
The new President said that he wishes to serve the SSVP “to give back a little of everything that life has given me”. He also outlined four key priorities for the coming years: “to remain faithful to the Vincentian identity, rooted in spirituality, fraternity and personal encounter”; to preserve “the social mission as our compass”; to “strengthen the cohesion and effectiveness” of the Society; and to “prepare for the future” by investing in young people and strengthening the Society’s resources.
