PGI visits Archbishop Luis Marín de San Martín, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Service of Charity and Almoner of His Holiness

On 25 September, President General Juan Manuel B. Gómez, accompanied by the 1st Deputy Vice-President General, Sebastián Gramajo, was received at the Vatican by the Prefect of the Dicastery for the Service of Charity, Archbishop Marín de San Martín. They briefed him on the extensive social work carried out by the Conferences around the world.

The discussion also addressed the challenges of our time and how best to respond to both the material and spiritual needs of those most in need. It was agreed to strengthen collaboration between the Dicastery and the SSVP in order to further improve the service being provided.
