In accordance with the procedures set out in the Statutes of the International Confederation of the Society of St Vincent de Paul, the Electoral Board has reviewed the candidates nominated and has deemed that the following three members have satisfied the requirements cited in the Statutes and are eligible to stand for election for the 17th President General:

On 13th March, the Electoral Board will send you the ballot papers as well as detailed instructions on the conduct of the election which will take place in the afternoon of the first day of the General Assembly in Rome (13 June 2023). You will find information on the procedures to be followed in the document “Electoral Rules “which was circulated to you in August 2022.
May we draw your attention to the statutory prohibition on canvassing for or against any candidate from the date of this announcement.
Please continue to encourage your Conferences and Councils to pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance for the electors in choosing the best candidate to lead the Society.
