Magdeline Setsetse, National President of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in Botswana, has passed away
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Magdeline Setsetse, National President of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in Botswana since June 2018. During her mandate, she led the National Council through a period of revitalization that strengthened several emblematic projects of the Society, such as the Gaborone West Care Centre—a home and school for girls, boys, and young people in vulnerable situations—and the network of charitable actions developed by the SSVP in Mogoditshane, Serowe, and other parts of the country, including visits to hospitals, prisons, and households in need. Her service was marked by closeness, a strong commitment to human dignity, and the empowerment of those served. Her legacy of practical charity and active faith will endure in every initiative she inspired.
The President General International has extended his condolences to the Vincentians of Botswana on behalf of the entire Confederation. We invite everyone to join in prayer for the soul of Magdeline and for the comfort of her family, friends, and the Vincentian community.
May she rest in peace.
