International Vincentian Family meets in Philadelphia, USA

From June 26-29, 2023, at the headquarters of the Congregation of the Mission (Eastern Province) in Philadelphia (USA), the Vincentian Family Executive Board meets to evaluate the work done and propose new initiatives for the future. Participating in this annual meeting are the founding branches of the Family (CM, DC, SSVP and AIC), as well as other branches invited as rotating members.
The following topics are on the agenda: annual budget, upcoming international events, common projects, partnerships with other NGOs, definition of the commissions at international level, governance, formation and communication. The President of the Executive Board is Father Tomaz Mavric, and the Executive Director is Father Joe Agostino. The SSVP is represented by brother Renato Lima. Let us pray for the success of this event.
Among the decisions taken during the meeting, members approved to organization of a meeting of the international leaders of each Vincentian branch, to be convened in Rome between November 14th and 17th, 2024 (the themes and agenda will be announced in due course). The creation of new Commissions (charity, communication and formation) were approved as well as the new Statutes of the Vincentian Family International.
On the evening of June 29th, celebration day of St. Peter and St. Paul, the brothers and sisters from Philadelphia, USA, met with the President General. During this meeting, ther President General made a presentation on the achievements of the Council General in the last seven years, which was followed by a questions and answers period and, a very pleasant Vincentian get-together.
