Guide for Creating Youth Conferences at Universities

Youth

Dear Young Friends!
Dear College Students!
Dear members of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SSVP)!

I am pleased to present this important material, produced by the International Youth Committee of the Council General International of the SSVP.

This guide for the creation of Youth Conferences at Universities, offers a great opportunity for us to consider the origins of our institution.

Our Founders were young people who met while they were studying at university, and there started several movements of Conferences (small debating groups addressing different themes) that finally resulted in the creation of this wonderful Network of Charity present today in more than 152 territories worldwide, our beloved Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.

Seven Young people, six of them university students, gave life to a great dream, embracing the world in a network of charity, defending the Church and promoting human dignity through the practice of Social Justice.

May many young university students be inspired by our Vincentian Charism and be able to join this great network of friends, the SSVP.
