Covid19. England and Wales. Faith into action

The SSVP National President in England and Wales, Helen O’Shea, hosted a “Facebook Live” to present the work of her local Conference at St. Joan of Arc Parish Catholic Church, Highbury, located in the north of London.
Helen O’Shea is part of this Vincentian group comprised of more than 45 members who volunteer their time and their talents to serve those in need in their community, by tackling the substantial task of coordinating the SSVP food bank.
The video was made to thank all the Vincentian members and volunteers during the National Volunteer’s Week. This video takes a behind-the-scenes look at the work carried out by this Conference to alleviate the effects of Covid-19 in their community. They have expanded the food hamper deliveries (over 300 food hampers a week), gave sanitary and cleaning supplies, and provided home deliveries to those individuals and families in need that are either sick, lonely or taking care of young children.
“Faith into action” is the motto of SSVP in England and Wales and Helen O’Shea and her SSVP Conference put it into practice every day.
