Council General holds meeting and activity guidelines this week

This week, the International Council General will conduct a series of various activities. On November 15th, it will be the bi-annual meeting of the Commission for International Aid and Development (CIAD), chaired by brother Bertrand Ousset, from France. In the guideline, there are various social projects sent by the Superior Councils that will be deliberated by the collegiate.
On the 16th, there will be a visit to the tomb of the co-founder François Lallier, who rests in the city of Sens, 125 km from Paris. On this historic visit, the Council will have the joy of having the presence of brother Philippe Menet, winner of the international contest, “The First Conference”, promoted earlier this year about François Lallier.
On the 17th, the quarterly meeting of The Board of the International Council General will be held, chaired by brother Renato Lima de Oliveira, 16th General President. There will be two special guests there: brother Ray Sickinger, from the United States, author of the book “Antoine Frederick Ozanam” (2017); and brother Júlio César Marques de Lima, from Brazil, International Territorial Vice-president for America 3, who will present the Vincentian activities in South America.
We ask everyone’s prayers for the success of all these initiatives. “I thank, from the bottom of my heart, all the brothers and sisters who have agreed to contribute to the SSVP in the noble function of serving the International Council General in some position or task. The sum of the talents of each one is the key to success of the actions underway in the Council”, stressed our President, Renato.
