Catastrophe in southern Brazil

World News

To date, 86 people have died, 120 are missing and more than 130,000 have been displaced by the heavy rains in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, whose capital, Porto Alegre, is completely isolated.

The Council General International stands at the disposal of the Council National of Brazil in this climatic disaster affecting one million people, who have no water or electricity.

The Council General joins in the prayers of the Holy Father for the victims and their families, for those who have lost their homes and for God to support the efforts of those who are bringing aid.
