The Society of St. Vincent de Paul would not flourish as it was during the past decades would it have been for Bro. Amin.
His life is the Society. The Society was his life. He dedicated his life in the service of so many people in need.
He joined the SSVP 70 years ago, he was the Youth Representative at the CGI during the 1960s, the National President of the Council in France from 1967 to 1981, and the CGI President from 1981 to 1993.
His tenure of service as CGI President did not stop him from being an active servant in the society. Even in the smallest of work, he puts his heart into it. He is really a man ablaze with God’s love, a love that fueled him to be a committed and passionate Vincentian.
Rest in peace now dear Bro. Amin. It is time to be in His presence and reap the fruits of your good works.
“His master replied, ‘well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness.’’ (NIV) Matthew 25:21
